He Sapa Win Princess Info

Welcome! On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Black Hills Powwow Association, I invite you to come and enjoy the 28th Annual Black Hills Powwow slated for October 10-12, 2014, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The theme for this year’s Black Hills Powwow is “Come Dance With Us.” Everyone is welcome to enjoy the beauty of Great Plains indigenous song and dance.  Also we will be having the largest singing contest on record ever for the Black Hills Powwow paying out $27,000 in prizes for our second, “Champions of the Northern Plains” singing contest. This year our total prize payout will be over $85,000!

The Black Hills Powwow Association is funded entirely by donations.  To ensure that we can continue to put on the best events possible, please feel free to donate anything you can.  Thank you.

The Black Hills Powwow has become one of the premier American Indian cultural events in the United States, attracting hundreds of dancers, singers, artisans and several thousand spectators from across several U.S. states and Canadian provinces. In addition to the powwow, spectators have the opportunity to enjoy a fine arts show, style show, scholarship He Sapa Win scholarship pageant, wellness symposium for youth, and tournaments for hand games, softball, golf, and archery. You are welcome to explore our website to see what may interest you. Also, thank you in advance for attending the 2014 Black Hills Powwow!
