Bev Larvie-Medhaug, Head Women's Judge  
 

Beverly Larvie – Medhaug is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Sicangu Lakota. Her name, Mahpiya Cangleska win, best translates to “Circle Cloud Woman”. She is the daughter of the late Aloysius and Sophie (Yellow Eyes) Larvie. Bev attended Haskell Indian Junior College where she received a Dental Assistant degree. She has been employed by Indian Health Service as a dental asstsitant for the past 29 years. Together with husband, Cal and niece T.J. Larvie they operate a ranch in the North Antelope Community on the Rosebud Reservation. They raise registered paint and quarter horses along with black sided cattle.

Bev is an accomplished traditional dancer and has danced for the past 30 years throughout the United States and Canada.

Bev is grateful and honored for the opportunity to serve as the Head Lady Judge for the He Sapa Wacipi. She wishes all dancers and singers success, enjoyment and safe travels as you journey to the next powwow and on the way home.
